Marbled Chocolate Vanilla Cake with Decadent Buttercream

To create a delicious chocolate cake with vanilla batter and chocolate buttercream, preheat your oven to  350°F/177ºC and prepare your cake pans with parchment paper circles. Mix together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then in a stand mixer, beat butter, sugar, eggs, egg whites, vanilla, and sour cream until creamy. Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk, ensuring they're well combined. Split the batter into vanilla and chocolate parts, spread them into the pans, and swirl to create a marbled effect. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, then let the cakes cool in the pan for  5 minutes. For the chocolate buttercream, whip butter until creamy, then mix in powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Apply the buttercream to the cake, crumb coat, and refrigerate for at least  30 minutes. Finally, frost the cake with buttercream, use a cake comb for texture, and let it set. Pipe buttercream swirls on top and adorn with marbled chocolate decorations.
