Fudgy Homemade Brownies Rich, Soft, and Deep Chocolate Flavor

There are days when I don’t want anything complicated, just something chocolatey, warm, and comforting. And honestly, brownies are always the answer. This is the kind of recipe I go back to again and again because it never fails soft in the middle, slightly crackly on top, and full of deep chocolate flavor.

What I love about this version is how rich it turns out without being overly sweet. The mix of dark chocolate and cocoa powder gives that intense chocolate taste, while the texture stays perfectly fudgy. Not cakey, not dry just right.

If you’ve ever been nervous about making brownies from scratch, don’t worry. This one is very forgiving. Just follow the steps slowly, and you’ll get that bakery style result at home.

Ingredients

  • 165 g unsalted butter
  • 300 g dark chocolate (around 70% cacao)
  • 4 eggs
  • 225 g granulated sugar
  • 75 g brown sugar
  • 5 g vanilla extract
  • 3 g salt
  • 97 g all-purpose flour
  • 38 g cocoa powder

Instructions

1. Melt Butter & Chocolate

In a heatproof bowl, combine butter and dark chocolate.

Microwave for about 2 minutes, pausing every minute to stir so it doesn’t burn.

Mix until smooth and glossy.

2. Prepare the Pan & Oven

Preheat your oven to 170°C.

Line a 20×20 cm baking pan with parchment paper.

3. Mix Eggs & Sugar

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.

Mix until the texture becomes slightly pale and smooth.

4. Combine Chocolate Mixture

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.

Stir gently until fully combined.

5. Add Dry Ingredients

Sift in the flour and cocoa powder.

Fold everything together until no dry spots remain.

Don’t overmix just until combined.

6. Bake

Pour the batter into your prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake for about 30 minutes.

7. Cool & Slice

Let the brownies cool in the pan until they’re comfortable to touch.

Then transfer and cut into squares.

Final Result

You’ll get brownies with a slightly crisp top and a soft, fudgy center. Rich, chocolatey, and honestly hard to stop eating after one piece. Perfect on their own, or even better with a scoop of ice cream if you’re feeling extra.
