  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • 105g all-purpose flour
  • 30g cornstarch
  • 20g strawberry powder

Toppings: As per taste

Tools Needed:
Bowl, whisk, rubber spatula, baking sheet, cookie cutter

Preparation

  1. Soften butter to room temperature. Sift flour, and cornstarch, along with either cocoa or strawberry powder, two or three times.
  2. In a bowl, cream the softened butter. Gradually add powdered sugar into the butter while stirring well.
  3. Mix in almond powder, milk, and for the plain dough, a dash of vanilla oil.
  4. Stir in the flour and mix until the dough gets crumbly. Wrap the dough and refrigerate for about 15-30 minutes.
  5. Roll the dough to an 8mm thickness and wrap again. This should be enough for a round shape.
  6. Follow the same process for cocoa or strawberry dough. Freeze this rolled dough for the same time.
  7. Preheat the oven to 170ÂșC. Remove the hard dough and cut desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  8. Place the cut dough on the baking sheet. For tree-shaped cookies, put the cutouts in the middle of the larger dough piece. Gently press the dough to hold the shape.
  9. Bake for about 20 minutes. Be cautious as different ovens may need adjusting.
  10. Let the baked cookies cool completely on a wire rack before adding chocolate, sugar hearts, and more for topping.

Got leftover dough? Don't waste! Roll it into shapes and bake. This versatile dough can help you create additional mini desserts perfect for enhancing your Christmas festivities. Enjoy your Xmas Cookies!
