The Ultimate Refreshing Ramadan Dessert
DessertThe Easiest No-Bake Flan for Your Most Refreshing Iftar Ever
Let’s be real for a second—by the time the clock hits 5:00 PM during Ramadan, my brain is pretty much 90% focused on what I’m going to eat for Iftar. While I love the heavy, savory stuff, there’s always a part of me that craves something cold, silky, and sweet to really wake up my taste buds after a long day of fasting. I used to think making a proper flan was a whole "event" involving steaming baskets or scary water baths in the oven, but I finally tried a version that is a total game-changer.
I stumbled upon this no-bake, no-steam method, and honestly? I’m never going back. If you’re like me and you’ve had those "flan fails" where everything turns into a scrambled egg mess or just won't set, this recipe is going to be your new best friend. It’s incredibly light and refreshing, which is exactly what you need when you want dessert but don't want to feel weighed down before Tarawih prayers.
The coolest part about this particular experiment was that I didn’t use a single drop of liquid milk. I know, it sounds crazy for a flan, right? I used RichCreme Whip Creme Powder instead, and the result was surprisingly creamy and way more stable than the traditional stuff. Plus, it saves me a trip to the grocery store when I realize I’ve run out of milk at the last minute!
I’ve made this a few times this week already (don't judge, it's that good), and it’s become the most requested treat on the table. It’s soft, jiggly, and has that perfect caramel hit. If you’re looking for a low effort, high reward dessert to impress your family or just to treat yourself after a long day, you have to give this a try. Let’s get into the kitchen!

3. Cook: Add 800ml of water to the dry mixture. Stir well and cook over medium heat until it comes to a boil.
4. Set: Gently pour the mixture into the mold over the caramel layer. Let it cool slightly, then pop it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
5. Decorate: While the pudding sets, whisk the remaining 100g of Whip Creme Powder with 200ml of ice water using a mixer until stiff peaks form.
6. Serve: Take the pudding out of the fridge, unmold it, and decorate with your whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Enjoy cold!
